End of the line

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

All good things must come to pass and since Obama hasn’t seen fit to bail me out personally, I’ll be closing it down. I’ll be calling the phone company to have my land line turned off and with it, the website.

I’ll be posting all my work on Myspace and I’m on facebook too. Everything I’ve posted on this site will have been printed up and put into my personal Tome. We all have to cut back somewhere and it’s too cold here in the winter to have my gas turned off.

Administrative note

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

I was re-reading a story I’d written about my last “Eckerman Trip” (November 8th entry) and I came across a passage that may not be exactly correct. Well, it was written correctly but it could be construed as something it’s not. I led the reader to believe that Dave and I had maybe shared one of Barcelona’s ‘attributes’ when in fact, that never happend. If by chance, there was any hard feelings caused by this, I am truely sorry.

Administrative note 04/15/08

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

I errantly reported that the ice on Lake Charlevoix had departed, and it hasn’t. I drove up to Charlevoix yesterday and saw the reason for my mistake. All along the Eastern shore of the lake, the ice lay in piles 5′ deep. I’d traveled across the bridge in East Jordan and didn’t see any, and then I’d heard from someone in Boyne City that it was all open there too. I thought it had gone out a little early and I was right.

It doesn’t look like the run off has affected the lake any, it still looks pretty low but I also saw a lot of standing water in the various woodlots. Might be also that our Governor is still selling the water to the North Koreans in exchange for them not sending nuclear tipped missles over this way. Strange people those Canadians…

04/06/08 (Late entry)

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Two years ago I made my first entry into what I consider my personal, historical venue. I’ve made 365 posts over a large variety of subjects and with some luck, there will be many more. God told me that he wouldn’t take me until my writings were done, that there was something I needed to write for him. I’m in the process of working on it, but I may drag my feet, or put in requests for more research time, whatever it takes. Trina, after you get back from my eventual funeral, there’s a story titled “Faith the size of a mustard seed”, would you please post it for me?

Oh, and the one that’s titled “Top Secret Crypto”; you may want to burn it and this computer too, and video tape doing it.

The following blog entry was written by my brother Jim and in the letter, pictures were included in it. I see that the pictures didn’t transfer over and I’ll get in touch with my technical advisor to see what we can do about it. I’m sorry about that Jim.

I thought I’d figured out why the pictures dissapeared but I haven’t. I added some pictures to the Eckerman 8 posting and the other’s are gone. I’m going to leave it like it is for awhile, and then add more and see what happens.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the pictures everybody, but I’m workin’ on it. I got the pictures from our sighting in and I’d like to show ‘em to ya.

I’ve tried something and we’ll see what happens. I took some pictures and loaded them into a photo page thing yahoo has. I do believe if you click on this, you’ll see the pictures:

But then again, maybe not.

Fishing report

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Doug and I went over to a lake near here yesterday and caught almost our limit of perch. These wern’t the little buggers your happy to get through the ice, these were bonified belly-fillers. It was cloudy with the air temperature at 55º and the water 60º. with very little wind out of the Southeast. If we’d had minnows our catch would have been larger, but we used crawlers on tear drops, so we picked up a couple nice bluegill too. I was hoping to get back out there today, but the winds are picking up.

I have an administrative note to make too; I was screwing around with the settings on my website for the blog, and may have screwed something up. No suprise there, I’m not a tech, just an operator and I’ll ask my tech support (’Trina) to see if she can fix what I have wrought. I’m not sure if anyone will have to subscribe to read this blog, I sure hope not, I hate filling out all that crap myself.

Administrative note

I’ve heard from two different sourse’s in the last 24 hours that it would be a great idea if I were to open this venue to anyone who had anything they wanted to say. To invite them in, join in on the first amendment, and the responsibility we all have to let the truth and our history be known.

I pay for this website through SBC, they are a good company and I have no ambitions to change. It only cost’s ten bucks a month or so and it’s well worth the price of it. For a paultry $10.00, I have the entire world for a potential audiance. Whatever you say will be passed on into the archives of the netherworld, forever.

After reading some of what I’ve written, I get the impression I’m getting help from a spiritual source. When Jan first asked me about doing this, I thought it was a great idea, and realized it wasn’t that long ago, that I had done something very similar. I looked under ‘thought’s from today’ and found it, it’s the January 22, ‘07 posting. I don’t write like that, I don’t speak like that, and I’m not nearly that smart. I think more people should try it, and after you do, email it to me, and I’ll post it here.

Just sit down at the keyboard, relax and let it out, no matter where it takes you. The spirits are honest and they’re true and all they want is an honest story told. You’ll be amazed.

Administrative note / Comments and the “Outhouse”

Sunday, August 12th, 2007

After some looking around and actually reading some of the instructions, I found out how to approve the comments, so that works now. The other thing was the “Outhouse” access that Katrina has updated and it works now.
